Background
This web site is to support a “Transitions” project of the Raleigh/Wake County branch of the American Association of University Women. These conferences/projects have been held around the country to help women to anticipate and overcome the challenges of going to college after years out of the formal education system and achieve the degrees that will enable them to reach economic security. The “Mom’s Turn to Learn” name for the project is credited to AAUW of West Virginia.
